Drora Bruck Marina Minkin Orit Messer
Three of Israel’s leading Early Music artists.
Drora Bruck had graduated from the Jerusalem music academy and had continued her studies with Pedro Memelsdorff in Civica Scuola di Musica, Milano, after having earned a scholarship from the Italian Foreign office. She is a very busy performer and in recent years had performed with Rinaldo Alessandrini, Roberto Gini, Dan Laurin, Ensemble Quynade, Accademia Daniel, Gli Erranti, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and more. Has recorded for EWM, Stradivarius & IBS. Alongside her activities as an EM musician Drora is a sought after performer of contemporary music and had more than 50 pieces composed for her. In recent years she gave concert tours in England, France, Holland, Belgium, Germany, USA & Australia. Drora heads the EM department in the Israeli Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv, teaches recorders and chamber music in the levinsky music college, and had taught masterclasses in Australia and Europe.
Marina Minkin has gained her phd in harpsichord and historical performance from Boston University, where she had also taught interpretation classes of harpsichordists and pianists. She is one of the most prominent Israeli harpsichordists and pianists who performs both Early Music and contemporary music and in recent years had toured the USA, Austria, Germany, Switzerland & Holland as a soloist and as a member of chamber groups. Had recorded for Artona. Teaches harpsichord & basso continuo in the Israeli Conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv.
Orit Messer is one of the most versatile cellists in Israel. She graduated from the Tel Aviv music academy and continued to study with Roberto Gini in Civica Scuola di Musica, Milano. She had performed with “Ensemble Concerto’ , Zefiro, Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, Accademia Daniel, Galathea Quartet, and had played under the baton of Sinopoli, Mehta, Masur etc. Recorded for Sony Classical, Stradivarius, Arcana & Accord. Performs contemporary music as well as early music. Is currently teaching Baroque cello in the Israeli conservatory of Music, Tel Aviv and modern cello in the Karmiel Conservatory and the Haifa Conservatory.
The repertire includes music by major Baroque composers and new pieces by leading Israeli composers as: Michael Wolpe, Lior Navok, Dina smorgonskaya.
